Each year, the Equinox charity cycle has been a rewarding challenge for all participants. In 2020, Covid-19 has presented a unique set of tests for everyone. But it has also offered new opportunities. While a physical coast to coast Equinox cycle is not possible this year, our tenth event will go ahead in a different way - with an even bigger challenge! We want you to help us go around the world on Saturday 19th September to raise funds for Children’s Health Foundation Temple Street, Children’s Health Foundation Crumlin and Headway. We want as many people as possible to cycle, run, jog, walk or do whatever they can to help us cover 40,075km in one day. Every kilometre counts, so stay tuned on social media for regular updates!

The Equinox Cycle has always been a rewarding challenge.

Our 1-day charity cycle from coast to coast and from dawn to dusk in aid of Headway and Children’s Health Foundation Temple Street has raised over €200,000 over the last 9 years. This year we are including Children’s Health Foundation Crumlin. Typically, we dip our back wheels into the Irish sea at sunrise and our front wheels into the Atlantic Ocean at sunset. Having been to Salthill, Strandhill, Kinvara, Youghal, Westport, Bundoran and back to Galway and Sligo again over the years, we - like many events - have had to pivot. For Year 10, we’re going digital. On September 19th, we want as many people to cycle, run, jog or walk and help us go virtually around the Earth in one day - that’s 40,075km! Now imagine raising 1 euro for every kilometre clocked up.

100% of donations will go to the charities.

Still thinking about it?
We need you.

Both Temple Street Foundation and Headway Ireland, our chosen benefactors over the last 10 years, have seen their fundraising decimated due to Covid-19. With big fundraising events like marathons cancelled, we want to help fill the hole in much needed funds to help buy vital equipment for Temple Street Children's Hospital and CHI Crumlin and to help provide mental health services for people who have suffered brain injuries. This edition of the Equinox cycle is unique. We won’t be travelling beside each other but we will be together.

Stay tuned on social media for more updates!
